delete my data

Applies to the hug police app on web, iOS, and Android.

in the app (instant)

Open hug police → tap the ⚙︎ gear → delete my data → confirm. This permanently removes:

• your anonymous identity, name, and blob,
• your membership in every space,
• your push notification tokens,
• any space left without members — including all of its hugs and counters. If your person is still in a space, the space and its hugs remain theirs until they delete too.

Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Recovery links stop working.

by email

If you can't reach the app, email support@hugpolice.com from any address and include your recovery link (or describe your space) so we can find the right data. We process requests within 30 days, usually much faster.

what we keep afterwards

Nothing. There are no backups of deleted spaces beyond our processor's short-lived infrastructure backups, which expire automatically.
